ABC News and entertainment desks frame Monday’s show as a tight race — The Pitt’s 25 nods versus Pluribus in drama, Hacks versus Widow’s Bay in comedy — with Hargitay’s hosting debut coming days after her own documentary wins.

Network and Academy coverage stress the live coast-to-coast NBC/Peacock simulcast, NBC’s 100th-anniversary branding, and Hargitay as a franchise star hosting after Creative Arts wins — a ratings and brand play as much as an awards night.
