Trump signs stopgap funding bill through Dec. 11

President Trump on Wednesday signed the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2027, funding federal agencies through Dec. 11 and averting a shutdown threat before the fiscal year ends Sept. 30. The measure passed the House 370–48 and the Senate 90–6. It delays a scheduled ban on intoxicating hemp products, blocks an OMB grant-review rule, and includes other riders. Nineteen House Republicans voted no.
