Russia launches 108 drones overnight Monday; Ukraine reports 85 downed

NEW · Mon. 8 a.m. EDT

Ukraine’s Air Force said that from about 6 p.m. Sunday into Monday, Russia launched 108 attack UAVs — including Shahed-type drones (some jet-powered), Gerbera drones, and Parodiya decoys — from Oryol, Kursk, occupied Donetsk, and Crimea. As of about 8 a.m., air defenses had destroyed or suppressed 85 drones, with impacts recorded at seven locations; the Air Force said the attack was still ongoing with drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace. The overnight wave followed Sunday’s much larger 450-plus-drone assault reported earlier in the weekend stack.
