Seahawks open title defense 13-10 over Patriots after Darnold exits with hip injury

Seattle beat New England 13-10 on Wednesday night in a Super Bowl LX rematch after starting quarterback Sam Darnold left early with a right hip injury, ESPN, CNN, and Reuters reported. Backup Drew Lock threw for 187 yards and a touchdown to Jaxon Smith-Njigba; Josh Jobe intercepted Drake Maye in the end zone with 21 seconds left. Patriots receiver A.J. Brown also exited with an ankle injury as Maye turned the ball over three times in the fourth quarter.
