Russia resumes Kyiv strikes after U.S. envoys leave; capital pause ends

After Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s Moscow then Kyiv weekend talks, the three-day reciprocal pause on strikes against each other’s capitals expired. Early Tuesday Russia hit Kyiv with ballistic missiles; Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported injuries and damage, and Poland began air policing. The envoys had said talks were substantive with hope for trilateral talks; there was still no ceasefire breakthrough.
